4. Individuals, Couples, Families and Groups.

The most common way of counselling is individual counselling, that is one to one session with just you and the counsellor/therapist present

But there are other therapies that offered by counsellors.

5. Couples therapy

When two people are having emotional problems, that they cannot sort out , counsellor/ therapist will be a mediator clarifying without taking sides. 

6. Family Therapy

When the whole family seems to be having difficulties, family therapy can be a highly effective way.

7. Group therapy

About 8 – 12 individuals get together and talk about their own concerns.

Identifying other problems and it helps to get other points of view on your worries.

Counsellor or therapist decides which level of therapy you need.

6. How long will it take and how much will it cost

Counselling session typically last one hour and takes place once a week over a period of weeks or months depending on how things go and the arrangements.

According to the client’s problem these sessions may change. For school children counselling sessions will be free of charge.

Otherwise fees are likely to be between Rs 500 – Rs 1000 per hour.

  • You are encourage to explore your past your childhood, relationship with parents and other important people.
  • Psychotherapy is a longer process.
  • It improves relationships , and get more out of life
